In moments that matter most
Just before Christmas last year, two days after fire tore through their family's farm, 10 year-old Gus crashed his motorbike into a metal gate.
As the sun set, his frantic mum found him, slumped against a fencepost.
With a badly broken leg and severe concussion and with the support of WA Health, St John WA and the RFDS WA, Gus was flown to Perth Children's Hospital (150km from home) for specialist care and rehabilitation.

"I was so calm seeing the sun rise over Moora and Gus
was finally sleeping. Of the entire event, that flight was
when I felt at my calmest.”
- Erin McPherson, Gus's mum
